Day 03: Breakfast. Full day excursion “Lakes Escondido & Fagnano” .
Driving east from Ushuaia, we'll make a stop to see the Old Jail, then we'll continue by the industrial area of the city to finally enter the woods, where we'll be dazzled by the Velo de Novia (Bride Veil) Cascade. Skirting the base of Mount Olivia , the imposing Sierra Alvear opens in front of us where at its foot lays extended a gigantic valley of peat. This is Carabajal Valley , which further ahead changes its name to the Valley of the Huskies, Tierra Mayor and Las Cotorras. We'll start crossing the Cordillera (the Andes Range ), and at 430 m. above sea level, at Garibaldi Pass , we'll enjoy an unequal view on lakes Escondido and Fagnano. We'll then descend to Petrel Inn, on the shores of Escondido lake. We'll continue along hwy. 3 passing by the sawmills, through the dense woods of lengas (Patagonian birches). Only a few kilometres ahead we'll meet a branch road that will take us to the great lake of Tierra del Fuego , Lake Fagnano . So big is this lake that some sea birds get disoriented and are taken by the wind to fly over it, being thus feasible to see albatross and petrels. The return trip to Ushuaia will be directly by same hwy. 3. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 04: Breakfast. Transfer to the Airport for departure flight.

Motor and diesel locomotives with wagons with ample windows will take us through the Tierra del Fuego woods. In former times, convicts were taken to this area for hard labour. We'll get to another sector of the park, the Cañadón del Toro. A stop will be made at Macarena Cascade. This excursion can be combined with the conventional one to the National Park, riding by train only the going stretch till Cañadón del Toro and continuing from there by bus with the conventional tour.
