EL CALAFATE - 4 days / 3 nights
Day 01: Arrival in El Calafate Airport. Transfer to the Hotel for accommodation.
Day 02: Breakfast. Full day excursion: “Perito Moreno Glacier”.
Early morning departure along the route that goes round the southern arm of Argentino Lake , till we reach Los Glaciares National Park . Along a winding road and after skirting the Rico Arm, we'll get to the walkways and mirador of the Perito Moreno Glacier. On the afternoon, return to El Calafate. The Glacier's Mirador is located 85 km. from El Calafate. The continuous landslides and constant noise talk by themselves of the permanent movement of the Perito Moreno Glacier. It's area is of 195 sq. km., it has a front of 4 km. and a lake of 65 km. It's height is of 60-80 m,. reaching peaks of 100 m. above lake level. Transfer to the Hotel. Accommodation.
Day 03: Breakfast. Full day excursion: All Glaciers: Upsala Glacier navigation. Amazing navigation to the heart of continental ice cap, suitable for all ages. The tour begins at your hotel when we pick up to take you to the pier of Punta Banderas (47 km from El Calafate) where we boarded on modern ships and began to sail the northern arm of Lake Argentino towards the icebergs channel, where we will see huge icebergs arising from the ice cap. We continued sailing toward the Upsala Glacier, one of the biggest glaciers of continental ice cap. After this we visit the great Spegazzini glacier, perhaps the most beautiful and then we return to the Iceberg channel towards Punta banderas. The route of this navigation is subject to modifications by unfavorable weather conditions.
